The municipal kindergarten on campus only has places intended for all-day care and is open only to the children of JGU employees and Humboldt-fellows. Places in the crèche and kindergarten are allocated by an internal allocation committee chaired by the University Chancellor. Children of JGU students can only be admitted in exceptional cases. Employees of the University Medical Center can register their childrenat the UMC facilities.
Children from the age of eight weeks can be cared for in the municipal kindergarten on campus. Only a small number of places are available for children who are not registered in Mainz.
Registration for the crèche and kindergarten is done through the Family Services Center. You can submit the application by e-mail, by post or in person. In addition to the application form, we also need a copy of your child's birth certificate and a copy of your employment contract with JGU. It is also possible to apply for the municipal kindergarten on campus via the Amt für Jugend und Familie der Stadt Mainz (Office for Youth and Family of the City of Mainz).
Opening hours: Mon-Fr from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m.
